When your dog fails, during learning a new behaviour, we withhold the food rewards. Gently guide your dog back into position and count to 5-10 in your head before marking with "yes" and paying them. If your dog fails 2/3 times then you have to break it down and make it easier for the dog. This might look like shortening the duration, working in a quieter environment or standing closer to the dog.
