Our Foundational Manners Group course provides the perfect continuation of training or a good starting place for your new puppy. More than just your average puppy manners class, we don't just focus on simple sits, we cover foundations for teaching your dog how to settle, be successful off leash, greet others polietly and more, through fun games and activities. Our goal is to put you on the path of becoming a responsible puppy owner while educating you how to seamlessly transition into your dogs adolescent phase. GOOD FOR - Dogs under 10 months old - All training stages, breeds and temperaments - Puppies new to training - Puppies who have previously completed training FEATURES - 4 week course - Personal & tailored instruction - Polite walking foundations - Patience & Settle foundations - Off leash foundations - Impulse control foundations - Structured Socialization - Engagement & focus skill training - Problem Behaviour training (jumping, nipping, etc.) BOOKING - Book online - 4 week commitment required WHERE Royal Bay High School (student parking lot) WHEN See our booking calendar for upcoming sessions! WHAT TO BRING - 6ft leash - 10-20ft leash - A collar with a current ID tag - Water - Rewards (toy or food) SAFETY The goal is to keep every person and dog safe, so maintaining distance between dog and handler teams is crucial, unless otherwise instructed. On sidewalks and roads dogs need to be “up short but slack on the leash”. Handlers need to wear comfortable foot wear and weather appropriate clothing. Please be mindful of how and when you use rewards (not in proximity to other dogs). PLEASE NOTE: Owners and their dogs are participating at their own risk. DON"T FEEL EMBARRASSED We are all in this together, as a group we are here to encourage and support each other and all of the dogs. No one should feel embarrassed if their dog acts out and is reactive, our purpose is to help them learn new ways of coping and alternate behaviors.
