By accessing or using the Website, booking Services, purchasing products, or using any free or paid resources, you (“the Client,” “the User”) acknowledge and agree that such use constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Website or Services.
1. RELATIONSHIP TO CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
1.1 These Terms operate in conjunction with the Focus K9 Client Service Agreement.
1.2 Where Services are booked or provided, the Client Service Agreement governs and prevails in the event of any conflict.
1.3 Use of the Website does not replace or negate the requirement to enter into the Client Service Agreement for Services.
2. ELIGIBILITY & ACCEPTABLE USE
2.1 You confirm that you are the age of majority in your province or have legal authority to act on behalf of a minor.

4. INFORMATION ACCURACY & AVAILABILITY

5. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & DISCLAIMER
5.1 Working with animals carries inherent risks including, but not limited to, injury, illness, escape, environmental hazards, wildlife encounters, property damage, and unpredictable behaviour.
5.2 By using the Website or Services, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume these risks.
5.3 No training, behavioural, or service outcome is guaranteed. All Services and products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
6. LIABILITY RELEASE & INDEMNITY
6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless the Company, its owner, Contractors, and representatives from all claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from:

7. BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
7.1 All bookings, payments, deposits, refunds, credits, expirations, cancellations, and rescheduling are governed by the Client Service Agreement.
7.2 Deposits are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
7.3 Services may be suspended for unpaid balances, with interest applied as permitted by law.
8. PRODUCTS & DIGITAL SALES
8.1 Digital products are non-refundable.
8.2 Physical products may be returned within thirty (30) days if unused and in original packaging.
8.3 Return shipping is the Client’s responsibility unless the product is defective.
9. USER SUBMISSIONS
9.1 Any feedback, reviews, comments, suggestions, or submissions provided may be used by the Company without obligation to compensate or maintain confidentiality.
9.2 The Company reserves the right to remove content deemed unlawful, inappropriate, or in violation of these Terms.
10. MEDIA & CONTENT USE
10.1 Photos or videos of Pets taken during Services may be used for marketing and educational purposes unless the Client opts out in writing.
10.2 Identifying Client information will not be shared without consent.
11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
11.1 The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
11.2 The Company is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites.
12. PRIVACY
12.1 Personal information is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Focus K9 Privacy Policy.

13. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
13.1 These Terms may be updated at any time without prior notice.
13.2 Continued use of the Website or Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We understand that schedules change, and we do our best to be fair while protecting reserved time and staffing.
Please review the following before booking.
2. Private Training, Consultations & Drop-In Classes
We require **48 hours’ notice** to cancel or reschedule.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged in full.
If you arrive more than **15 minutes late** without prior communication, your session or class may be forfeited and charged in full. If we’re able to proceed, the session will be shortened by the amount of time you were late, and the full fee still applies.
3. Group Courses & Training Programs
Group courses require **one week (7 days) notice** prior to the start date to cancel or withdraw.
Once a course or program has begun, missed or unused sessions are not eligible for refunds or credits.
Program and course deposits are non-refundable.
4. Dog Walking, Drop-In Visits & Outings
Payment is due in full before the appointment.
Same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged in full.
Unused sessions may convert to credit at our discretion and are valid for up to **one year** from purchase.
5. Pet Sitting & Overnight Care
All pet sitting bookings require a 50% **non-refundable deposit** to reserve dates.
Standard bookings require **two weeks’ notice** to cancel or change.
Holiday bookings require **four weeks’ notice** to cancel or change.
Cancellations made after these notice periods are charged in full.
Once pet sitting or overnight care has started, no refunds or credits are provided for early returns, shortened stays, or schedule changes.
6. Emergencies
We understand that true emergencies happen.
Emergency cancellations for **training services only** may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may include a **$50 administrative fee**.
Emergency exceptions do not apply to pet sitting, overnight care, or holiday bookings.
7. Company-Initiated Changes
In rare cases, we may need to cancel or adjust a service due to safety concerns, weather, illness, or circumstances outside our control.
If we cancel a service for reasons not related to client breach, a credit or refund will be provided in line with the service booked.
8. A Final Note
Late cancellations and no-shows impact our ability to serve other clients and fairly compensate our team. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in refusal of future bookings.
