Learn. Develop. Train
At Focus K9, we believe good trainers are developed through a combination of formal education, hands-on experience, and demonstrated ability.
We develop potential trainers from within our own training programs. Before you ever work with a client under the Focus K9 name, you need to demonstrate that you understand our training philosophy, can communicate clearly with both dogs and people, and can successfully take a dog through training from beginning to completion.
Who We Look For
We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with people.
Dog training is often less about teaching the dog and more about teaching the person how to communicate with, understand, and live successfully with their dog.
Our trainers need to enjoy coaching, problem-solving, and helping people make meaningful changes.
People Oriented
You genuinely enjoy working with people, building relationships, and helping owners understand their dogs.
Open Minded
You’re willing to learn, consider new perspectives, and develop your understanding of training and behaviour.
Driven to Grow
You’re curious, ask questions, want to understand the why, and are committed to becoming better at what you do.
