Calm & Confident is a specialized behaviour program in Victoria, BC for dogs whose main obstacle isn't obedience; it's reactivity, anxiety or overexcitement. It uses tools and techniques targeted to your specific behavioural goals.
This track runs independently of the obedience path, so it can be booked on its own or alongside it. The group course addresses leash frustration, barking and lunging, and draws from the same curriculum as the private program.

With veterinary approval, training for reactivity or anxiety can often be submitted to your provider, and a portion of the cost may be reimbursed. We are certified to support behavioural cases and work alongside veterinarians to provide the documentation you need. Ask at your consultation.

What is Calm & Confident? A specialized behaviour program for overexcitable, reactive or anxious dogs, with tools and techniques targeted to your dog's specific behavioural goals.
How much is reactive dog training in Victoria, BC? Private Calm & Confident is $750 plus GST for 5 private sessions and 2 socialization classes. The group course is $550 plus GST over 6 weeks.
Can I combine it with obedience training? Yes. Calm & Confident runs independently of the obedience path and can be booked on its own or alongside it.
Is behavioural training covered by pet insurance? It may be. With veterinary approval, training for reactivity or anxiety can often be submitted to your provider, and a portion of the cost may be reimbursed. Coverage depends on your provider, so ask them directly.
Is the group course available now? Group courses are currently waitlist only, with more coming in Spring 2027. The private program is available without waiting.
My dog has bitten or shown aggression. Is this the right program? Start with a consultation. Although we do work with bite cases, we assess your dog first and confirm whether this program is a safe and appropriate fit.
