Foundational Manners

Dog obedience training in Victoria, BC: the base every other skill is built on.

Foundational Manners teaches your dog the skills for being successful in the world: loose leash walking, off-leash control, socialization and basic obedience, built under real distraction instead of in a quiet room.

It's the step after puppy training, and the base that Public Manners and Total Control are built on. A dog with these skills is easier to live with, easier to take places, and ready for everything that comes next.

Training your pet properly builds a stronger relationship and more freedom with your canine.

Choose How You Train.

Same foundations, two formats. Private is built around your dog and your schedule. Group is the lower-cost route with practice around other dogs.

Who's It For

Dogs who have finished puppy training, adolescent dogs ready to learn how to behave in the world, and any dog who needs a strong base before intermediate work. If your dog is under 6 months, start with Puppy Manners. If walks are dominated by reactivity, see our reactive dog training page, since Calm & Confident may be the better fit.

Next step: Public Manners or Total Control.

From here, owners choose their next step: Public Manners for reliable behaviour in everyday real-world settings, or Total Control for true off-leash freedom
